Kate’s first introduction to vibroacoustic therapy and immersive sound was during her own healing journey with Lyme Disease. Weary from IV treatments, anxious and emotionally exhausted— a chance on a sound bath became an unforgettable experience and a key therapeutic modality in her journey back to wellbeing.
Understanding the unique benefits of vibroacoustic therapy and the importance of nervous system regulation in healing, Kate began to develop her own daily practice and studies in 2020. She has studied with Zacciah Blackburn of The Sunreed Center, Suzy Markoe Schieffelin of The Copper Vessel and with Professor Jeralyn Glass at The Sacred Science of Sound. These studies are rooted in the ancient practice of Nepalese and Tibetan sound medicine.
Kate lives at the Jersey Shore with her dog Birdie. She loves all of the many different spaces and audiences that she has been able to share sound with, and has a keen interest in her work with hospice, adults and children with autism, and with equine therapy programs and animal sanctuaries.
It is her heart’s mission to share her peace with her community, be of service to others on their journeys and to bring comfort, wellbeing and reconnection through grounded presence and therapeutic sound.
